Kennedy Agyapong Vows to “Defend the Truth” Despite $18M Defamation Ruling

Despite $18M Ruling, Agyapong Vows to Fight On

Former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong has reaffirmed his commitment to advocacy, declaring he will continue to “fight and defend the truth” despite a recent U.S. court ruling ordering him to pay $18 million in damages to investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas for defamation.

Upon his return to Ghana on Thursday, March 27, Agyapong addressed supporters at his Accra campaign office, expressing gratitude for their support and pledging to remain a voice for the voiceless. “This support strengthens my resolve to keep speaking for the voiceless,” he stated.

Agyapong remained defiant, asserting that the court’s decision would not silence him. “Anyone who speaks the truth and stands for the voiceless will face challenges.

But through this ordeal, I have become a better person, and I will continue to fight and defend the truth,” he declared.

He promised to address the ruling in detail at a later time and urged his supporters to remain steadfast.
