Court adds abetment to murder charge against Daniel Owusu Koranteng

The prosecution has amended the charges against Daniel Owusu Koranteng, a suspect in the murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale, adding abetment to commit murder.
This update was announced in court on Wednesday, April 2, during a hearing. Koranteng, who has been in remand since his arrest, is accused of publicly sharing images of Suale before his assassination and being present at the crime scene in January 2019.
Initially charged with murder on March 19, the revised charges now include abetment to murder. The court has remanded him in custody, with the next hearing set for April 17.
