Ablakwa Confirms Government's Commitment to Removing COVID-19 Levy in Upcoming Budget

Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has revealed that the government will remove the COVID-19 levy in the upcoming budget.
While addressing Ghanaians in Benin, Ablakwa confirmed that this move would mark the final step in the government’s pledge to eliminate all four taxes introduced by the previous administration.
His announcement was met with enthusiasm, particularly after he confirmed that the betting tax, E-Levy, and emissions tax had already been abolished following presidential assent on April 2nd.
Ablakwa also took the opportunity to update the Ghanaian community on the government’s progress, urging them to continue placing their trust in the Mahama administration.
He highlighted the government’s commitment to youth development through dedicated funding initiatives.
