A new tracking poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics shows former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the clear frontrunner in the race to become the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate for the 2028 general election.
According to the poll:
Dr. Bawumia is backed by 57% of voters
Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, former MP for Assin Central, trails with 29%
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, former Education Minister, secured 6%
Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Minister for Food and Agriculture, received 5%
Kwabena Agyapong, former NPP General Secretary, polled 3%

In key swing regions — Greater Accra, Central, and Western — Dr. Bawumia maintains a strong lead:
