The Ghana Police Service has successfully broken up a well-organized armed robbery syndicate responsible for a series of attacks on rural banks across multiple regions of the country.
At a press conference held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the National Police Headquarters in Accra, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, described the operation as a “major breakthrough” in the Service’s fight against organized violent crime.
