Manchester United Submit £74m Bid for RB Leipzig Striker Benjamin Sesko

Red Devils lead race for Slovenia international amid rival interest from Newcastle.

Manchester United have submitted an offer for RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko, with the total package potentially reaching €85 million (£73.8 million).

The bid includes a guaranteed fee of €75 million (£65.2 million), with the remaining amount tied to performance-related add-ons.

United believe the proposal reflects a fair market valuation for the 22-year-old Slovenian striker, who has netted 16 goals in 41 appearances for his national team. Sources suggest Sesko is open to a move to Old Trafford, although Leipzig have yet to respond to the bid.

Newcastle United are also in the race, having made a competing offer in the region of €80 million (£69.5 million) as talks with Leipzig continue.

Manchester United’s bid is being seen as a firm statement of intent, particularly after earlier reports indicated the club was hesitant to engage Leipzig without clear signs of interest from the player.

In a potential move to accommodate Sesko’s arrival, United are reportedly open to letting Rasmus Højlund leave the club.
