The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has extended an invitation to Paul Adom-Otchere, the former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), for questioning. The summons is in connection with an ongoing investigation into a revenue assurance audit contract.
In an official letter dated July 25, 2025, the OSP explicitly named Mr. Adom-Otchere as a suspect in its probe into alleged corruption and corruption-related offenses stemming from a contract between GACL and a private firm.
Mr. Adom-Otchere acknowledged receipt of the summons and stated he was scheduled to meet investigators at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31.
However, he vehemently described the invitation as a “witch hunt,” insisting that he had no direct involvement in the signing of the contract under investigation. According to Adom-Otchere, the contract in question was signed by the Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company, and he was not even aware that the contract had been executed.
Mr. Adom-Otchere further questioned why the probe appears to be primarily targeting him, especially when, in his view, the relevant management officials—including the GACL Managing Director—are available and were directly involved in the operational decision.
