U.S. Enforces Travel Restrictions on 19 Nations

Ban targets nations with security risks and immigration concerns

U.S. President Donald Trump rolled out sweeping travel bans and visa restrictions targeting 19 countries, citing national security and immigration enforcement as the driving forces behind the controversial decision.

The administration claimed the affected nations lacked proper systems to vet travelers, harbored terrorist threats, or failed to cooperate in repatriating deported nationals. High visa overstay rates were also a key factor.
