GNFS Report: Six Fatalities in Adansi Dompoase Road Crash
Official GNFS Report Details Fatal Three-Vehicle Crash at Adansi Dompoase

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has released its official report confirming the deaths of six people in the tragic road traffic accident that occurred on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Adansi Dompoase, near the new ECG office in the Ashanti Region.
According to the GNFS report, the fatal collision involved three vehicles: a Toyota Corolla with registration number GE 7271-24, a Sprinter minibus with registration number GS 6383-20, and a VIP bus bearing registration number GW 8455-23.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 PM when the Sprinter minibus attempted to overtake the Toyota Corolla, which was in the process of turning into a washing bay. During the overtaking maneuver, the Sprinter veered off its lane and became stranded in the middle of the road, resulting in a head-on collision with the oncoming VIP bus.
The impact of the collision caused extensive damage to the Sprinter minibus, leading to the immediate deaths of six passengers who were on board. Several other individuals sustained serious injuries and were promptly transported to nearby hospitals to receive urgent medical treatment.
The GNFS reported receiving a distress call at 12:43 PM on the day of the accident and immediately dispatched a rescue team, led by Assistant Divisional Officer II (ADOII) Samuel Mensah, to the scene. The rescue operations were completed by 1:28 PM, with the bodies of the deceased handed over to the Ghana Police Service. One injured person was also rushed to the Fomena Government Hospital for emergency medical care.
The official statement detailing the incident was issued by the Public Relations Officer of the GNFS Ashanti Region on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The GNFS has also stated that investigations are currently underway to determine the precise cause of this tragic road crash.
