Mahama to Host Czech President Petr Pavel for Historic State Visit

Historic Visit Aims to Strengthen Ghana-Czech Relations and Promote Collaboration

President John Dramani Mahama is set to host Czech Republic President, Petr Pavel, for a three-day State Visit to Ghana from April 8 to April 10, 2025.

This visit is a significant milestone as it marks the first time a Czech President will visit Ghana since the two countries established diplomatic relations with Czechoslovakia in October 1959.

The trip is also notable as it will be the first State Visit President Mahama will host since his return to office in January 2025.

During his stay, President Pavel will engage in bilateral talks with President Mahama, attend a business forum, and inaugurate a health facility funded by the Czech Republic.

In addition, President Pavel will visit key Ghanaian landmarks, including the Osu Castle and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.

To commemorate this historic visit, President Mahama will host a State Dinner in honor of the Czech leader.

The visit is expected to enhance diplomatic and economic ties between Ghana and the Czech Republic, with a focus on areas of mutual interest. More updates will follow as the visit progresses.
