Vital link between farming communities set to boost transport, trade, and access to services

The much-anticipated Kotokuom Bridge in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region is set to be officially commissioned on Tuesday, August 26, according to the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Issahak Ibrahim.

The newly reconstructed bridge serves as a crucial link between key communities such as Nyinawusu and Kotokuom. Its completion is expected to significantly enhance access to essential services including markets, schools, and health facilities, particularly for farmers, traders, and students.

In an interview with Aduanaba Kofi Ampong Emmanuel on Mabesh FM’s morning show (92.7 MHz), the DCE emphasized the bridge’s importance in connecting the district’s farming communities and improving transportation throughout the area.

Residents have long struggled with the deteriorated state of the previous structure, especially during the rainy season when crossing became nearly impossible. The new bridge brings much-needed relief and is seen as a major step toward improving mobility and boosting local economic activity.
