Eight Feared Dead in Helicopter Crash and Fire in Adansi Brofoyedu

Dismembered body parts were found scattered at the crash site

Adansi Brofoyedu, Ghana – A helicopter traveling from Accra to Obuasi crashed and burst into flames in Adansi Brofoyedu in the Ashanti Region on Wednesday morning, with eight people feared dead.

According to a statement from the Ghana Armed Forces, there were three crew members and five passengers on board the aircraft.

Dismembered body parts were found scattered at the crash site. The identities of the victims have not yet been confirmed.

Local authorities, including Assembly Member Matthew Baah, reported that residents heard a loud crash followed by an eerie silence. When they reached the scene, the aircraft was completely consumed by fire, burning beyond recognition.

While the cause of the crash is still under investigation, Mr. Baah suspects that adverse weather conditions may have been a contributing factor.
