Brake failure suspected in evening accident near Nima Police Station

A commercial minibus, commonly known as a trotro, crashed into the wall of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s private residence in Nima on the evening of Wednesday, July 16, 2025, injuring three people.

The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m., just a few meters from the Nima Police Station. Eyewitnesses say the vehicle veered off the main road before smashing into the wall. While the exact cause is yet to be confirmed, many onlookers suspect brake failure or another mechanical malfunction.
