Liverpool have turned down a £58.6 million opening bid from Bayern Munich for Colombian forward Luis Díaz, reaffirming their stance that the player is not for sale.
Bayern made their approach earlier this month and received a firm response from Anfield officials, who made it clear the 28-year-old remains a central part of Arne Slot’s plans. That position was reinforced this week when Liverpool formally rejected the Bundesliga side’s first offer.
Díaz, who joined Liverpool from FC Porto in January 2022, is under contract until the summer of 2027. The club reportedly values him at over £87 million, reflecting his importance to the team.
The winger was instrumental in Liverpool’s Premier League title-winning campaign last season, scoring 22 goals across all competitions — including 13 in the Premier League — as the Reds finished 10 points clear at the top.
Díaz has drawn interest from Manchester City in previous transfer windows and is also on the radar of Saudi Arabian clubs, but Liverpool remain committed to keeping him at the club.
Meanwhile, Liverpool continue to explore options to strengthen their attack and are actively pursuing Newcastle striker Alexander Isak. The Premier League champions have made significant progress toward a potential deal for the Sweden international and are also assessing other centre-forward targets.
