Manchester City Sign £1bn Kit Deal with Puma in Premier League Record

Club’s partnership with Puma now valued at over £1bn, surpassing rivals Manchester United and Liverpool in sponsorship earnings.

Manchester City have agreed a record-breaking 10-year kit extension with German sportswear giant Puma, in a deal believed to be worth at least £1 billion—the largest in Premier League history.

The new agreement will see City earn approximately £100 million per season until 2035, surpassing Manchester United’s £90 million-a-year deal with Adidas and Liverpool’s newly reported £60 million arrangement, also with Adidas.

The club first partnered with Puma in 2019 through a £65 million-per-year deal. Since then, the collaboration has coincided with a dominant era for City, including four Premier League titles and a historic Treble in 2023. However, the team finished last season without any major silverware.

According to the club, the Puma partnership has helped drive record global kit sales and played a key role in boosting the brand’s international reach. City also recently reported record-breaking Premier League revenues of £715 million for the financial year ending 30 June 2024, with commercial revenue rising to £344.7 million.

City Football Group CEO Ferran Soriano praised the long-term partnership:

“We joined forces with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and exceed expectations. Over the past six seasons, we’ve done just that. Puma have become an integral part of our organisation and shared in many historic moments.”

Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld echoed that sentiment, saying:

“Our partnership with Manchester City has delivered exceptional results on and off the pitch. From trophies to commercial success, this collaboration has exceeded all expectations.”
