CEA Hosts Stakeholder Workshop to Enhance Curriculum and Content Development

The Acting Executive Director of the Complementary Education Agency (CEA), Daniel Kwesi Ashiamah, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, recently convened a high-level stakeholder workshop focused on strengthening curriculum development and educational content creation in Ghana.

The event, held at the Tomreik Hotel in Accra, gathered key stakeholders under the CEA umbrella, including representatives from the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), technical working groups, and other sector partners.

Centered on the theme, “Arrival and Understanding of Templates for Curriculum Content Creation,” the workshop aimed to improve the development and alignment of educational materials with national standards. Participants explored innovative strategies for curriculum enhancement and exchanged best practices to ensure quality and consistency in teaching and learning nationwide.

Daniel Kwesi Ashiamah highlighted that the workshop supports the broader vision of the Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, who champions transformative reforms to elevate the quality of Ghana’s education system.

“This initiative is crucial in ensuring that our curriculum meets the evolving needs of learners today. Our goal is to build an education system that guarantees not only access but quality at every level,” Ashiamah stated.

Michael Owusu, Acting Director of NaCCA, expressed his approval of the collaboration and pledged continued support for CEA’s mission. “While resources are essential, unified efforts like this workshop are what truly drive impactful change,” he said.

The workshop concluded with stakeholders reaffirming their commitment to delivering practical, relevant, and high-quality curriculum content, marking a significant step forward in aligning Ghana’s education system with national development priorities.
