Honorable Shirley Kyei, the Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South, has provided a significant boost to local education by donating 4,300 mathematical sets to all final-year students preparing for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in her constituency.
Following the donation, the MP reaffirmed her commitment to educational advancement, emphasizing its role as a potent force for individual and community growth. “I am an MP today because of education, and I want quality education to be accessible and affordable to all my constituents,” she stated. “I will keep doing my best to help push Atwima Nwabiagya South to the limelight.”
Hon. Kyei also acknowledged her strong working relationship with the Municipal Education Directorate, expressing gratitude to the Municipal Education Director and her team for their collaboration.
This latest initiative builds on her earlier support for schools in 2025, when she donated bags of cement and other educational materials to senior high schools within her constituency, including Toase SHS and Nkawie Senior High Technical School.
As the BECE candidates prepare for their week-long examination, Hon. Kyei offered crucial advice, urging them to avoid any form of examination malpractice. She stressed that “honesty and integrity are essential qualities that are key to success,” encouraging candidates to keep these values in mind.
In a message ahead of the exams, Hon. Shirley advised: “Keep revising what your teachers have taught. Honesty and integrity are values that will serve well throughout your lives. Approach each paper with a clear mind and answer the questions to the best of your ability, and trust in the knowledge you have acquired over the years.”
Students and staff across the schools expressed their appreciation for the MP’s efforts and extended their well wishes for her political journey.
