The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 34 new cases of Mpox, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 79.
According to health officials, four patients are currently hospitalized and under close medical supervision. In response to the rising cases, the GHS has intensified contact tracing efforts to curb further transmission.
While the recent spike has raised public concern, health authorities have reassured citizens that the situation is under control, urging calm and cooperation.
The GHS is advising the public to take precautionary measures, such as maintaining good personal hygiene, avoiding close contact with individuals displaying symptoms—particularly those with unexplained skin rashes—and seeking immediate medical attention if symptoms develop.
Authorities continue to monitor the outbreak closely and are committed to updating the public as new information emerges.
