A mechanical incident involving a vulcanizer machine in New Nkusukum, near the Volta Bar in the Mfantseman Municipality, has left three individuals with varying degrees of injury.
They are currently receiving care at the Roman Hospital in Mankessim, Central Region.
One of the injured, a man named Richard in his 30s, is reported to be in serious condition.
According to eyewitness Isaac Opoku, the explosion happened while some goods were being offloaded nearby. Onlookers quickly responded to the situation and assisted the injured.
One of the victims shared that they had been inflating a tyre when the machine unexpectedly malfunctioned.
The exact cause of the incident is yet to be determined, and authorities are expected to look into the matter further.
