The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has called on the newly appointed and confirmed Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to uphold the highest standards of leadership and make both President John Dramani Mahama and their respective districts proud.
In a statement delivered through his spokesperson, Hussein Ibrahim, during an interview on Adekye3 Kokobo, a morning show on Mabesh FM (92.7 MHz), Dr. Amoakohene emphasized the expectation that the MMDCEs will work diligently to promote development and progress within their jurisdictions. “The Regional Minister is expecting them to work towards the development and progress of their districts, which would reflect positively on both the district and the President,” Ibrahim stated.
There is growing confidence among Assembly members that the newly confirmed MMDCEs will perform effectively in their roles. Their overwhelming endorsements reflect optimism for positive leadership and impactful results, paving the way for strong collaboration between the Assemblies and the executives.
Hussein Ibrahim also expressed sincere appreciation to Assembly members and traditional leaders for their support, which was instrumental in the successful confirmation of the MMDCEs. This gesture underscores the critical role of stakeholder collaboration in the governance and development process.
The continued engagement and unity among these groups, he noted, is key to advancing the aspirations of the Ashanti Region under the leadership of President Mahama and the NDC government.
In conclusion, Mr. Ibrahim appealed to remaining Assembly members in districts yet to confirm their nominees to offer their endorsement in the interest of progress and development within their local areas.
