President John Dramani Mahama has issued a final warning to all government appointees who have yet to declare their assets, stating they will face immediate dismissal if they fail to comply by Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
The directive is part of a broader push by the Mahama administration to reinforce transparency and accountability across all levels of government. It follows an initial deadline of March 31, which some appointees reportedly missed.
Speaking at the official launch of the Code of Conduct for Government Appointees in Accra on Monday, President Mahama made it clear that no exemptions will be granted.
“By close of day on May 7, if any appointee has not declared their assets, they should consider themselves dismissed. I will not compromise when it comes to protecting the integrity of this government,” the President firmly stated.
In addition to the threat of dismissal, Mahama announced financial penalties for those who missed the original March deadline. These individuals will forfeit three months’ salary and will be required to make a mandatory one-month salary donation to the MahamaCares Fund.
The President’s message underscores his administration’s commitment to ethical leadership and public accountability.
