King Zuba Elected Kumasi Mayor with Near Unanimous Support

55 Out of 56: King Zuba's Landslide Win in Kumasi Mayoral Race

Richard Ofori Agyeman, widely known as King Zuba, has been overwhelmingly elected as the new Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), securing 55 out of 56 votes in a decisive endorsement of his leadership.

The vote, held at Miklin Hotel in Kumasi, saw an impressive 98.2% of assembly members cast their ballots in his favor.

King Zuba’s nomination by President John Dramani Mahama was based on his strong track record as the former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Obuasi.

His deep loyalty to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Golden Stool has garnered significant recognition and support from the Manhyia Palace and numerous chiefs throughout the Ashanti Region.
