A new national tracking poll by Global InfoAnalytics for 2025 indicates that the Ghana Police Service and the Immigration Service are perceived by the public as the most corrupt institutions in Ghana.
The poll, which measured public perception of corruption across various sectors, placed the Police Service at the top with a corruption perception score of 6.43, followed by the Immigration Service at 5.86.
Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director and Head of Research at Global InfoAnalytics, shared these findings. The Judiciary ranked third with a score of 5.78, suggesting concerns about corruption within the legal system.
Other institutions with high corruption perception scores included tax officials of the Ghana Revenue Authority (5.68), local government representatives (5.63), and business executives (5.63).
The Electoral Commission (5.58), traditional leaders (5.51), and Parliament (5.47) were perceived as moderately corrupt, while the Prison Service (5.43), Military (5.27), and Presidency (5.27) received lower scores. Ministers and government officials had the lowest score at 4.61.
