Constable John Kwabena Dogbe tragically lost his life while participating in an operation aimed at combating illegal mining activities.
A police officer, Constable John Kwabena Dogbe, sadly drowned in River Offin while engaged in an operation to tackle illegal mining in the Central North region. His body was retrieved after several hours of search by local police and rescue teams.
Though the exact cause of the incident is still under investigation. Sources suggest that the officer may have accidentally fallen into the river during the operation.
Authorities have launched a full investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the drowning.
The body of the officer has been transferred to St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu.
