Kevin De Bruyne Bids Farewell to Manchester City After a Decade
The midfield maestro says his final goodbyes, reflecting on his incredible journey at the club

Kevin De Bruyne, the heartbeat of Manchester City’s midfield, has announced that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season, marking the end of a legendary 10-year tenure.
The Belgian star shared the news on social media, writing, “Whether you like it or not, it’s time to say goodbye.” He went on to express the emotional weight of the decision, acknowledging, “These will be my final months as a Manchester City player… that day is here – and you deserve to hear it from me first.”
De Bruyne has been a pivotal figure at City since his arrival in 2015, making 413 appearances and scoring 106 goals.
Over his time at the club, he helped guide them to six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups, and a Champions League victory, cementing his place as one of the club’s greatest ever players.
With more assists than all but Ryan Giggs in Premier League history, De Bruyne is a two-time Player of the Season award winner.
“I cannot thank the city, club, staff, teammates, friends, and family enough for this 10-year ride,” he said. “Every story comes to an end, but this has definitely been the best chapter. Let’s enjoy these last moments together!”
With speculation swirling about a possible move to the Saudi Pro League or MLS, fans will eagerly await where the next chapter of De Bruyne’s illustrious career will take him.
